Video: Archos 7 & 43 Gen 8 MIDs/Tabs

Charbax of ARMDevices has put together this short video showing the Archos Gen 8 tablets in operation, using the new Android 2.2 beta bios for these devices. The larger one is the Archos 7, a 7-inch tab 2 – the Archos 43 is a 4.3-inch MID, a smaller brother to the Archos 7, both running Android 2.2. Quite frankly, the small size MID is appealing to me, but at the same time slightly redundant if I just got a smartphone… but as I don’t have one, appealing remains the thought of the day. The Archos 7 has some impressive speakers, to be honest, and both devices look real smooth. Charbax does mention that there remains a few bugs to be worked out, but this looks promising for both Archos owners, and the MID market in general. To refresh your memory, the these two Archos Gen 8 MIDs/Tablets use the TI OMAP3630 Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1GHz – they pack quite a punch!
