SODDIT – A Bus Load Of Angry Passengers No More.
Strange & ODDity In Technology – welcome to SODDIT, a hopeful new regular at MP4Nation. We’ll scour the internet superstores and bring to you the intriguing, the weird, the strange, the odd, and the downright unbelievable. Please, don’t let the loose stringency of our acronym naming system turn you away.
Today we take a look at portable speakers of the stranger variety.
If you didn’t get it from the title, what we were implying was that through this blog, you’ll be able to look cool whilst being one of those little bastards that play their music out loud at the back of the bus, annoying most every other passenger plus driver. “How the HELL can I ever look cool doing that” we hear you whine? “Well, follow on and you will know” we whisper in response. Bellow below features the many wonderful and mostly pointless audio contraptions for playing your music out loud, on the go – the portable speaker. Some look fun, some look sexyawesome and some look more complicated than they are. Either way, we can safely say that for a portable speaker, all you really need is the basic speaker shell, nothing more. But then again, we are trying to impress a bus load of people here.

Let’s start with this Rubik’s cube (more cube’s this way) looking speaker. Here are it’s specs:
| Power supplier: | DC5V |
| Output power: | 2W(1KHZ,THD10%) |
| Frequency: | 200HZ——20KHZ |
| Signal&noise ratio | ?65dB |
| Impedance: | 4 OHM(?) |
| Li-ion Output: | 5V |
| Li-ion Input: | 3.7V~4.2V+0.05V |
| Lithium battery capacity: | 120mAh |
| Speaker Unit: | 36 |
| Case Material: | ABS |
| Dimensions: | 6*2.5*4.5cm |
| Color: | Pink/Red |
But besides that, let’s just hope a friend doesn’t play smart and wreck your speakers by assuming the ‘Rubik’s cube’ is just a little stiff – of course, that wouldn’t happen if it looked like a speaker.

Now we’re not quite sure as to what specs this particular speaker has, all we do know is that it may result in ape’s wearing ties and monkey’s wearing t-shirts and baseball caps trying to pick it up and hurling it at other wild life – of course, that wouldn’t happen if it looked like a speaker.

This one should speak for itself. Well, it does, so to say, but jokes aside, this particular portable speaker is a little corny, don’t you think? What will drive you nuts is that fact that we have a wonderful little video showing you how the speaker performs.
Now the whole point of a portable speaker is so that you can take it around with you, however, you try doing that with this and you’ll have it snatched up quicker than you can say “Hey, squirrel!!” – of course, that wouldn’t happen if it looked like a speaker.

Last but not least, we have this creepy looking yellow pig-like speaker. So freakishly weird is this little piggy, that you seriously can’t help but to want to knock is square in the center of it’s face, thus rendering the speaker unusable – of course, that wouldn’t happen if it looked like a speaker.
In our conclusion, we’ve come to a realisation that there simply is no way to look cool whilst playing music out loud on a bus, as well as keeping your odd looking speakers safe at the same time. So simply do not do it. We recommend going around with a sexyawesome looking portable speaker like the one below. You can do no wrong with a set like that.
