SmartQ V5 With An Antenna?

smartq-v5-antenna1

What’s that? An antenna on the V5? No – it’s actually the stylus that comes with the V5. However, the interesting thing is that the stylus is placed near WiFi antenna… yup, put 2 and 2 together and you might deduce that extending the telescoping metal in its place actually increases WiFi connection strength. This revelation came to light over at SmartQMID.com’s forums with a user using WiFi Analyzer app to measure the WiFi strength. The stylus acts as an antenna – there is no denying that. Cool stuff – images of WiFi Analyzer’s results after the break. Lastly, if you have a V5 – be sure to try this if you can only achieve a weak WiFi connection!
