SlingPlayer Mobiel App – TV Streaming
Sling Media have already launched their SlingPlayer Mobile app that allows you to steam live or recorded TV onto your Android device – we can now safely say that the app works best on a larger screen, or more specifically, on the Archos 101. To remind you of the specs of the device that plays host to the Mobile app – the Archos 101 has a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen and uses a 1GHz OMAP3630 Cortex A8-based processor with Android 2.1, and has HD – apparently prime specs for such an app. Via a Slingbox that is suppose to be hooked onto your home media system, the SlingPlayer Mobile app let’s you stream from cable, satellite, IPTV, or broadcast signal, or play recorded shows from TiVo or other supported DVRs. The app also includes virtual on-screen remote control functions, fast forward, rewind, pause, controls, an electronic program guide and pretty much anything else you would need for on-the-go TV watching. Check out the smoothness and streamlined streaming of the SlingPlayer Mobile app on the Archos 101 from the above video.
