Sigo With Sochip 5-Incher: V200 PMP

sigo-v200

Sigo’s v200 5-inch PMP is a Sochip wielding non-brute, sporting the Boxchip F16 / Sochip SC8600 doing 768p video on its 800×480 screen. The 768p is very slightly unorthodox (ie. 720p) and refers to a maximum video playback resolution of 1366×768. As we’ve come to know with SC8600 players, this PMP will do video well and will handle most, if not all, file formats with ease, some of which include the more common formats: MKV, AVI, WMV, MPG, MP4, VOB, DAT, FLV, RMVB etc. The player’s got a simple and sleek look but really, when we boil it down to its constituents, it’s nothing special. Think of it as turnip soup -  monumentally uninteresting. The V200 finds itself entering a market in which comparable players are found every which way you look and does little to distinguish itself from the sea of same-faced contemporaries. Ultimately, this release will likely be region limited in China to a few specific provinces and will sit at a familiar price point.
