Point Of View With Mobii Tegra Tab

Company Point Of View, widely known in the PC graphics card industry (as well as netbooks and notebooks, albeit less prolifically), are now joining the Tegra tablet-train with their Android 2.2 Mobii tab, a 10.1-inch iPad-competitor wielding a capacitive touchscreen (1024×600), an NVIDIA Tegra 250 processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB RAM, 51MB internal storage (a little anemic…). Rounding out the feature set is HDMI, WiFi b/g, optional 3G, a 1.3-megapixel camera and a 3300mAh battery. The Mobii is expected to hit the market next year, but we’re not sure how much of a splash it’s going to make amidst the sea of Tegra tablets floating about, not to mention lesser powered ones. We hope that POV can continue their graphics card tradition and compete on the price front rather than try to masquerade as something glossy.
