I think Google needs to step forward and mark a clear direction for Chrome vs Android in terms of tablet applications.
Seems inevitable that we’ll soon have competing OS on the same form-factor devices coming from the same company (Google).
Seems like Google’s major manufacturing buddies in the Open Handset Alliance will be pulling for Android.

I would agree with you.
However, Google did openly state that FroYo is not meant for tablets.
Some have speculated that Android 3.0 will be the merging of Chrome OS and Android into a universal mobile handset/handheld/tablet OS.
Only time will tell I suppose.
