Video: HP Slate With Windows Phone 7
Microsoft seems to have lost out on the mobile OS race. The Windows Phone 7 OS has not really made it to many phones and while there is a lot of hype, there is little hard substance which we can look at. A handful of videos here, a barrage of photos there, and everybody is still talking about Android or iOS. Well, there is one place they may be able to carve out a market share for themselves: the tablet OS market. With speculation that Android 3.0 will be a merger with Chrome OS, and Google publicly announcing that 2.2 is not a tablet OS, it seems that there still remains an “official” niche to be filled in terms of tab OSes, and if the snappy performance in the video above featuring the HP Slate and Windows Phone 7 OS is any indication, Microsoft still have a fighting chance. The question is, will the capitalise while there is still a Windows of opportunity?
