Slick UI Living Up To Its Name

slick-ui

Slick UI is a replacement user interface that is being currently developed for Android – and from the images above it certainly does live up to its name, and then some. The main highlight of the replacement UI takes place at centre-stage, with the scrollable wheel (looking like that Simon-says game), called the Wonder Wheel, displaying information below it as you scroll through whichever 4 apps you happen to have in it. Further, the app launcher has been customised to extraordinary lengths, being split into 3 parts (current apps, running apps and what looks like a recently used apps tab). It’s all very cool and should be available on the marketplace soon – but it is obviously designed for phones. One wonders how (or if) this will work on tablets or MIDs like the MIDnite and RockTab. Follow development here. Video after the break.
