Window N5 Android PMP Pictured At IFA
The Window N5, an Android-powered 720p PMP has been pictured at the recent IFA in Berlin entertaining the masses. The Window N5 was announced just a short while ago, but to refresh your memory it is an Android-powered PMP running on the Rockchip RK2816 chip, supporting Android OS version 2.1. The Android OS means that functionality of the device should be quite wide, but it also strikes one as perhaps Android being a cure-all for lazy OS development, especially in this case where the N5 doesn’t even appear to have WiFi. That sends out warning bells all around. That, though, may also be the distinguishing factor between RK2816 and RK2818, the latter of which we have yet to really see in action. More images of the N5 playing games and such after the break.
