Onkyo Unveil 3 Windows 7 Tablets In Japan

onkyo-tablets

Japanese firm Onkyo are releasing 3 new Windows 7 tablets into the Japanese market – understandably, when looking at these, not only the Japanese are going to be excited. These tablets are scheduled to ship next month in Japan, and will be available in two sizes: 10.1-inches and 11.6inches. The latter will have a screen resolution of 1366×768, while the former will sport the commonplace 1024×600 resolution. Users will be provided with a choice between the Intel Atom N450 or Z530 processors, as well as as well as between a 32GB SSD or a 160HDD.  Very snazzy stuff – sports similar specs to most other Windows 7 slates we’ve seen running Windows 7 Home Premium and so performance can be expected to be similar as well. I often dream about carrying one of these things around with me, lost in a Baldur’s Gate II save. It is, sadly, unlikely that these tablets will be easily obtainable outside of Japan, though word has it some online retailers may pick it up. Take a look at the full spec-sheet in Japanese.
