ICOO Solider On With E600P
ICOO are continuing to release players, with the E600P being their latest. It’s a 5-inch 800×480 touchscreen player that looks, if we’re to take the rendering above at face value, to have a kind of widget system, though that remains to be really seen. It could just be a statically designed desktop display rather than a configurable widget system. The styling is nice and reminiscent of the minimalist Window and Cube players we’ve seen, not to mention Ainol. There isn’t, though, that much room for design innovation – especially not when on a budget. Though it has yet to be said, if ICOO continue with their trend I suspect they’ll go with a Sochip SC9800 processor, and will likely have HDMI out; at the very least, it will have some form of video output.
