HOTT MD860: 7-Inch 1080p MID
HOTT look to be releasing their own Telechips MID/tablet, likely using the TCC8901 chip clocked at 600MHZ (which is even less impressive than the TCC8902 720MHz tab we tried) which will allow for competent 1080p video playback. The 7-inch MID will have a screen resolution of 800×480. File format support will be good, as expected with the TCC chip with support for most types, including all major ones such as MKV or MPG or AVI. Also is the feature of WiFi support but curiously this MID doesn’t seem to run on the Android operating system – or if it does, it isn’t explicitly stated so, though that is unlikely as any Android tab that uses a Telechips usually uses the TCC8902 rather than 8901 variant. All in all, this actually looks slightly disappointing. Or at the very least, dull.
