Bmorn Keeps On Firing: BM-569
The Chinese PMP market is certainly fickle. It’s hard to adopt the Apple business model and only support a small range of products. Instead, companies churn out model after model, duplicating feature sets, covering the losses of one run with the profits of another. Bmorn keep on firing with their product releases with the BM-569, a 5-inch 800×480 1080p PMP. It doesn’t bring anything new to the table – and we never expected that it would – but this PMP looks to be solid all-around, with wide video format support (MKV, AVI, WMV, MPG, MP4, VOB, DAT, RMVB etc.), PDF reading capability, TV-Out, and your basic image viewer for JPEGs and GIFs and the like. The PDF reader might hint at this unit housing a Sochip processor, but that hasn’t been made official yet. Solid, slightly naff looking all-rounder.
