Bmorn BM-999 Renamed E-Pad
The BM-999, an 8.9-inch MID based on the now familiar Rockchip RK2808/Android 1.5 configuration is being renamed to the E-Pad, presumably in an effort to boost sales… anything with “pad” in it, didn’t you know? The renaming comes as no surprise to anyone, and adds to the already confusing array of tablet/MID names that currently inhabit the market. The BM-999… the E-Pad, rather, is far larger than your standard 7-inch Rockchip Rk2808 generic MID though, as the screen is accounted for in the 8.9-inch measurement, but the frame isn’t, which boasts, incredibly, over 2 inches in total to each side. It’s a lot of extra space, and it makes the E-Pad look huge. The image above doesn’t really do the size justice. The image below, however, will give you a much better idea. It’s the BM-999 compared to a standard 7-inch Rockchip Rk2808 tablet, otherwise known as the APAD. It simply dwarfs the APAD.
