SmartQ V3: An Android-Only Refresh Of The V5?
From the exterior to the internals, SmartQ’s upcoming MID, the V3, is looking like an exact replica of the V5 model that’s been available for a while, only this time it’s Android only (as opposed to the Linux/WinCE/Android triple boot). The V3 comes in the same size, 4.3-inch screen with 800×480 resolution, and essentially features identical internals to the V5: 600MHz ARM 11 processor; 256MB DDR2 RAM. The V3 will also have OTG and miniHDMI. Where the V3 drastically differs from the V5, though, is in cost. It’s likely to be a sub-USD$100 product, beating out the V5′s price by over 50%.
