10-Inch Telechips Tablet On Its Way
A 10-inch Telechips prototype tablet has been spotted sporting a sleek aesthetic, but continuing in the tradition of having the UI too large for its own good. The TCC8902-powered 10-incher seems to feature a resolution of 480×272 on the native 1024×600 screen, which is an oddity that was also apparent with the 7-inch TCC8902 MIDs we’ve been seeing of late. In fact, if you look at the picture above, look at how much space the address bar takes up. Everything is simply too large. It could be that the large UI is meant for the impressive video playback capability this tablet has – specifically for HDMI application as such a large UI would hardly look bad on a TV. Either way, it’s a curiosity that might be an annoyance to some. This 10-inch prototype, otherwise, will be a fairly bog-standard Android 2.1-based tablet. You can expect to see more 10-inch models making waves in the coming months.
