UMPC Sony Vaio P Cloned Again
The Sony Vaio P UMPC has certainly been cloned before, and this time a new clone is hitting the US market fresh out of China complete with the same UMPC portability form factor as the original it knocks off. This clone, dubbed the “Sony Style L80″ will come with a slightly larger display at 8.9-inches but it is highly unlikely the resolution will come anywhere near the Vaio’s 1600×768. It is powered by an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, has 1GB of ram and 16GB internal storage and costs roughly $299USD. Actually, this sort of thing is a pretty handy alternative for those that want portability but don’t want to deal with the underpowered pads that seem to be the only other options at the moment.
