The industry ministry of Japan has just ordered a report from Apple concerning various cases of the iPod Nano PMP overheating and catching fire. There have been 27 incidents of this and roughly half a dozen of those incidents required firefighters to be called. Four different people have suffered from burns from this overheating. This marks one of the very few occasions that Apple have fallen beneath scrutiny of the official eye and been involved in an official inquiry. Things aren’t looking great for the PMP and phone giant today.
