Gemei 7-Inch E-Reader Videoed
The above is a video of an upcoming Gemei 7-inch e-reader. While specs for the thing are as yet largely unknown, but it does look like this could be running Android OS thanks to a few snaps at iMP3. It is unknown what chip the device will be powered by, whether a Rockchip or Chinachip or another variant capable of running the Android OS. Either way, in the video the PDF scrolling looks pretty smooth and snappy, and if this device does run on Android it will offer a lot more functionality than simply reading PDFs. And yes, the device currently has no shell – it is still in testing phases, no doubt.
