The V6000HDT has been one of the harder to get pmp as of late, this is because the high quality samsung screen used on this player is always out of stock.
The player use the powerful SC9800 processor and have a 4.8" resistive touch panel, under the panel resides the 4.8" 800x480 resolution screen which is manufactured by Samsung. The screen is good and it does seem to be a bit nicer than the high quality screen that is being used in the smaller V9000HDA model.

The picture above is reportedly the Samsung Galaxy tablet (the 7-inch MID that Samsung have been rumoured to be developing for some months now). The sizing indicates it's roughly around 7-inches - in line with the rumours. In case you'd forgotten, the Samsung Galaxy tablet is rumoured to be a 7-inch Android 2.1 powered device with telephony functionality. It was never confirmed nor expanded upon, but if the above is the Galaxy tablet, then we can expect news to filter out shortly. More good news for the MID/tablet computing industry.

This MID from Saycool, the M5A, is a 5-inch Intel Atom powered device that has stylish looks despite the thick frame. The M5A is powered by the Intel Atom Z515 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, sports a 5-inch touchscreen (800x480), runs preinstalled with the Windows XP operating system but supports the Windows 7 operating system. All in all, the thing looks promising with WiFi and 3G connectivity out of the box, a 1900mAh battery, a convenient form factor and rather impressive internals.

The Mahdi M17FHD has shaped up to simply be a toned-down version of the M16FHD, a "768p" capable player betraying the Boxchip F16 internals, otherwise known as the Sochip SC8600. The M17FHD is toned down in the sense that it carries 4GB, rather than the standard 8GB that the M16FHD carries. Otherwise, it's the same - a 4.3-inch player (480x272), with the usual suspects in terms of features and supports the standard array of video file formats (RM/RMVB, AVI, MKV, FLV etc.) All in all it's another 4.3-incher that doesn't amaze but is a solid all-round 720p PMP. Looks like two more 8-inchers is coming to town, the Gadmei P82 and the US-P82. Both players run a very impressive resolution of 1280x768. The P82 will be 720p capable PMP while the US-P82 will be the "big brother" and 1080p capable. Quite frankly, at this screen resolution both are bound to look gorgeous. One can only hope for a good screen with vibrant colours. Viewing angles are expected to be poor on this behemoth. More info as it comes in.

The 3.6-inch Sochip SC9800 (AKA Boxchip F10) player Cube H880FHDR gets babed out again today. This ultra-portable breast-pocket-sized PMP is one of the most powerful out there in the 3-4-inch size-range. The ultra-airbrushed babe with the small player after the break.

The industry ministry of Japan has just ordered a report from Apple concerning various cases of the iPod Nano PMP overheating and catching fire. There have been 27 incidents of this and roughly half a dozen of those incidents required firefighters to be called. Four different people have suffered from burns from this overheating. This marks one of the very few occasions that Apple have fallen beneath scrutiny of the official eye and been involved in an official inquiry. Things aren't looking great for the PMP and phone giant today.

The HOTT MD500 should now be starting to stock shelves, according to imp3, after months of hype and promotion. To refresh your memory, the HOTT MD500 is a fairly unremarkable 5-inch MID that is set to run Google Android 1.5 - a surefire hint that inside it houses the Rockchip Rk2808 chip. Another surefire hint is that the MID is capable of decoding up to 720p videos, which is the limit of the 2808 chip. The firmware is looking to be slightly customised with preloaded apps such as QQ. All in all, nothing to get terribly excited over, though it does add another MID into the 5-inch range which is a welcome addition. It, however, is not selling for particularly cheap with a 899 Yuan price point attached which will no doubt be inflated when sold overseas. The RAmos W7 is a better choice.

The Inle ePad M700 you may have seen floating around the blog/tech sites is just another Rockchip RK2808 generic MID (the one you know as the APad). Though the sites are saying it runs Android OS version 1.6, it likely actually only has 1.5 installed (as we've seen with all other RK2808 generic MIDs). One of the features being boasted is the 720p video playback capability - but that is something to be taken with a grain of salt as 720p video playback is not actually particularly smooth. Other specs include the 2000mAh battery, 7-inch 800x480 resistive touchscreen, 128MB RAM and 2GB of onboard storage. Really, nothing to write home about. When is RK2818 getting in, anyway?

Another 4.3-inch offering, which was first announced a while back, is now available with an upgraded firmware from manufacturer ICOO. ICOO have recently made a splash on the PMP scene with a number of models, such as the E100P and the E200. The E300P is another Sochip 4.3-inch player to hit the market, and the upgraded firmware brings with it reportedly better PDF reading on the SC9800. The player comes replete with the complete feature set associated with the SC9800 chip, such as PDF reading, support for up to "1280p" video files (that means 1920x1280). The Sochip player will easily handle 1080p video files across all standard formats (AVI, MKV, MP4, MPG, VOB, FLV, WMV, etc.). The player is available in 8GB flavour. All in all, another good 4.3-incher that adds nothing new but is top-
