Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual Core To Start Coming Soon?
Supposedly, Qualcomm have already started / are going to start shipping out processor samples of the Snapdragon CPU, models MSM8260 and MSM8660, which will both be dual core procs. The dual core Snapdragon platforms will be manufactured on a 45nm process, are supposed to be clocked up to 1.2GHz (on each core). Both models will feature GPS integration, GPU 2D / 3D accleration engines for Open GL ES 2.0 an Open VG 1.1, as well as 1080p (!) video decoding, a dedicated audio engine which will be low-power, and rounding off the list, support for 24-bit WXGA 1280×800 pixel displays.
Phew. Hope to hear more of all of this soon.
