ACorp 4.8-Inch Android MID Video
This is the ACorp EM501R – a 4.8-inch Rockchip RK2808 Android 1.5 MID. Coming in a smaller size than other generic Rockchip MIDs we have seen (such as the 7-inch Apad) this is certain to pique the interest of many looking for a smaller and more pocket-sized MID. This MID, going by the video, seems to use the same firmware we’ve seen on other Rockchip Rk2808 MIDs, so individuation and customisation has not been imprinted (and no word on whether it will or not, but in all honest likely not). Though, either way, the device appears quite snappy and responsive and is another grunt in the growing army of Android-based MIDs that are flooding the market in recent weeks. It’s smaller size will certainly be appealing to many, as the 7-inchers we’ve grown accustomed to seeing are not exactly pocket-sized.
Interesting is the supposed price: $88 for distributors buying at least 1000 pieces. We’ll see how that translates to the consumer.
