Viliv P3 Touch PMP Making Waves
This 3.7-inch, beautiful AMOLED screen wielding, dual-boot OS (Android 2.1 and Windows CE) , 800MHz ARM Cortex powered , WiFi active, 32GB large, stylish 720p-capable player out of Korea is making waves and rounds on Youtube, showing off its impressively customized UI which is perhaps the highlight.
What one does notice is that you see file names, rather than ID3 tags, and it is curious if this will not be revised in the future as file name browsing is somewhat archaic.

The player certainly does look impressive, is intriguing in its customization and is the kind of thing we hope for in more PMPs. Customizing the UI provides an extra avenue of competition and provides consumers with a greater variety of choice to suit their needs, as a lot of the internals are capable of similar performance. The customization also marks a move away from cookie-cutter cash-cows that many a PMP maker today is wholly concerned with. This customization represents an investment by Korean company Viliv, one that will bear fruit for consumers down the road. The P3, though, is probably going to be quite an expensive player – perhaps higher than the $300 limit which puts it into a top price-percentile.
