Motorola Droid Solves Rubik’s Cube… 24 Seconds

ARM-powered Android-based Motorola Droid phone which we know you’ve all been hearing and reading so much about is now doing Rubik’s cubes and fairly quickly too. THe phone runs an app for Android which actually takes photographs of each face of the cube and then sends the solution to the LEGO NXT controller via Bluetooth which then manipulates the Rubik’s cube. Isn’t that something? Let’s hope that these advances in robot technology don’t lead us down the path of iRobot, that horrible film which bastardised one of the greatest sci-fi authors of all time, Isaac Asimov.
