ICOO E300P: 4.3-Inch Player

icoo-e300p

ICOO has announced the launch of their new E300P HD player, which comes in at 4.3-inch with a 480×272 resolution display. It looks a little chunky and square, if you see what I mean, but overall this player looks and probably performs (as the specifications might imply) similarly across the board to most other 4.3-inch players. No word yet on the chip being used inside. According to Chinitech, this thing will only cost… $45 USD. Specs follow.

  • Support for 1920×1280 video files (1280p)
  • H.264 decoding of: MKV, MOV, RMVB, RM, AVI, PMP, DAT, FLV, VOB, MP4, MPG, 3GP
  • Support for MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE, AAC, OGG
  • Support for JPG, BMP, GIF
  • Comes in starting at 8GB

I just bought this player in Beijing, China. It’s pretty nice. The only things lacking are custom EQ settings and customized wallpaper. Does not support gapless playback with FLAC. I have not tested other audio formats. Screen flickers a bit on lower brightness settings, but otherwise the display is nice.
