HOTT MD700 MID Hands-On at iMP3
The HOTT MD700 has been given a test drive by the busy bees over at iMP3 and they have certainly put it through its paces, testing audio, video (with an extensive file format list test), displaying the UI, office program testing. One curious thing, though, is that web browsing appears to be sneakily missing aside from a reference and the MSN messenger that is clearly installed wasn’t tested either. Overall the thing looks pretty solid, especially the office application but the on-screen keyboard might be less than convenient to use.
In case you can’t remember, the HOTT MD700 7-inch 800×480 MID uses the Telechips TCC8901 chip, has support for 1080p (1920×1080) HD decoding for following file formats: AVI, RM, RMVB, MKV, FLV, DAT, VOB, WMV, MPG, MP4, M4V video file formats; has support for HDMI output mode for 1080p; has support for MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, FLAC audio formats; has OTG functionality, as well as a built-in 802.11b/g WiFi module. The MID runs on Windows CE6.
