Viewsonic Gets Ebook-Reader Wet – Who Isn’t, These Days?
Seems like everybody is jumping aboard the e-reader boat, so to speak, in the hopes they might sail downstream toward a large lake of profits. With every added competitor, though, that downstream gradually becomes upstream and we, the consumer, benefit. Good times, good times.
In fact, last year Viewsonic had already announced their plans to get-in-gear and join the e-reader competition, and now 2 new models have surfaced on the Viewsonic Europe site, the VEB620 and the VEB625. Both devices look similar, feature 6-inch e-ink screens. The differentiating feature is that the VEB625 has more advanced touch screen operation and has WiFi support.
This is no comic-book-browser, but it gets the simple job done.
