Taipei Taxis to get MID’s
Its being reported that 1000 taxis in Taiwans capital city of Taipei are to get WiMax enabled MID’s. The MID’s aren’t intended for the driver, but are for the customers to use. Taiwans main cab company is partnering with Vmax to provide these MID as a trial basis to see how customers find them.
Each MID will have a 7.0″ touch screen, will have WiMax and GPS enabled, run on WinCE 5.0 and will also allow for audio and video playback. I really wouldn’t mind being stuck in a cab if it had one of these in the back seat.
