Dawa D7 Telechips Tablet demo video

March 27, 2010 by Raz in Tablet, Video Review with No Comments.

So i reported on the Dawa D7 tablet a few days ago, it seems that MAG is going to rebrand this tablet too and it was caught on video by Charbax. The UI has a very Android feel to it, but it runs on WinCE 6 R3, which i am told is the same OS as the Meizu M8. Via Forums

March 27, 2010 by Raz in MP4, Ramos with No Comments.

The new Amlogic based touch screen player from RAmos has been finally opened up. The player is soon to be released in China and many people are eagerly awaiting its availability. The RAmos T13FHD can support 1080p decoding as well as 1080p video out through its HDMI port. The 4.3" touch screen player will also have a 800x480 resolution screen, my hope is that RAmos will use the same quality screen that is on the T17FD. More images on the forum

O2 Mirror Phone – Interestingly shaped phone for the ladies

March 25, 2010 by Raz in Phone with No Comments.

The O2 Leady Mirror phone (i suspect its supposed to be Lady), is a rather uniquely looking phone, designed to look like a makeup mirror, the screen is supposedly mirror like and can be used like a mirror. The UI actually looks quite interesting, i can't tell if the screen is touch screen based or even the size, information isn't provided, but its certainly been adapted to work on this unique oval shape. So ladies, would you like this phone? More images and info via M8Cool

A look at Ainol V9000HDA UI

March 25, 2010 by Raz in Ainol with No Comments.

The people over at iMP3 have taken the time to take shots of the new Ainol V9000HDA user interface. The V9000HDA uses the latest SoChip processor, but unlike other players using the chip, the V9000HDA is the first touch screen based Sochip player with a totally different looking UI. I will concede and say that the screen on this player looks pretty good. Check out the rest of the user interface shots at iMP3

The iWonder tablet has again been spotted, the sub $100 tablet being made by Foxconn and developed by Marvell for the China market, was spotted first a month ago, but this time the screen is in its correct rotation. It does seem that this demo unit has some other fixes, for one, the screen seems to be off better quality and the iWonder will come in various colors (black and white). Via Engadget

Onda VX530Touch Announced

March 24, 2010 by Raz in Onda, PMP with 1 Comment.

Suprise, suprise, Onda has announded a new 4.3" touch screen player, the VX530Touch. Needless to say that this was pretty much expected and not that much of a suprise. The VX530Touch will probably have the same UI styling as the Vi20 model and even the same hardware, apart from the screen. The VX530Touch will carry a 4.3" touch screen, but i am not sure if it will have a 800x480 or 480x272 resolution screen, but if i had to bet, i would go for the lower res. The Onda VX530touch will run on the Rockchip RK2806 processor, it will be able to decode videos that are upto 1280x720 and playback AVI, RMVB, MKV, VOB, DAT, FLV, MOV and MPG video formats. It will support MP3 and WMA formats as well as APE and FLAC lossless audio formats. THe VX530touch will be out in 4GB and 8GB, no word on pr

Dawa Telechips Tablet with Multi Touch

March 24, 2010 by Raz in PMP, Tablet with 2 Comments.

Well it isn't the first Telechips TC8901 player we have seen, its not even the first tablet/MID to use it, but the Dawa D7 would be the first to claim multi touch. I am a bit curious to what 'multi touch' refers in this case, call me suspicious, but i am going to take this claim with a bit of salt. The Dawa D7 will also have a 7.0" capacitive touch screen, 256MB ram, 4GB internal memory, memory card slot, GPS, 1080p video playback as well as 1080p video out through a HDMI port. The D7 will run a flash based UI running atop of Win CE 6.0 R3. I have already sent Dawa an email for a sample, lets hope they can accommodate :) More Pictures Via Shanzhaiben

The HDVP-2 allows for upto 1080p video decoding of numerous popular video file formats, it also supports DTS and AC3 audio tracks. The HDVP-2 comes with a LAN port built in and can also have a Wifi dongle attached to it, both allow for network streaming of your video, audio, image and eBook files. We expect to sell the HDVP-2 for under USD$100.00 The last 2 minutes is a little cut and paste in order to make the video fit into the 11minutes Youtube allows.
