Newsmy Releasing A16HD – HDMI player
Newsmy looks to join the HDMI club with their A16HD, a reworking of a preexisting model. HDMI has now become almost like a bare standard that all new Chinese players seem to need. I don’t think its a bad thing, but i wouldn’t exactly not buy a player if HDMI wasn’t on it.
The available informtion provided on this model doesn’t go into specifics on what media processor it is using, but it will be able to support HD movies, in various formats, including RMVB, AVI, FLV, DAT, VOB. It seems that it won’t support MKV and play videos upto a resolution of 768p, because of this, i am actually going to assume that this is using a Sunplus media processor.
The A16HD will also come with a 5.0″ screen, not touch screen based, support a screen resolution of 800×480 and will come in 8GB and 16GB and priced at RMB$699 (USD$100) and RMB$899 (USD$130) respectively.
