Android to start getting Divx playback support
Looks like Divx will be officially supported on Android, at least on the HTC desire at first. One of the things that has erked me about Android making its way as an OS for PMPs is its lack of media file format support in its out of the box state. Companies like Archos and Rockchip are both coming out with their own additional media player apps to work on their implementation of Android, but people using Android on other devices, like my Nexus one or even like SmartQ Android MID’s, would not be able to playback most media formats.
