Klipsch LightSpeakers Get Screwed

light-speakers-system

Here’s a novel idea for speakers – see the little nobbly bits on the top of the Klipsch LightSpeaker? That’s where they screw into a light socket and get their power to play back your tunes. They light up to boot, which means they’re a portable (well, within buildings) speaker set that are also functional as a 40,000-hour lifespan lightsource.
Sound’s pumped out through an impressive 2.5 inch wide dispersion driver and they use 20 watts each. They get the tunes via the included transmitter, which connects to PCs/CD players/MP3 players etc. and allows for a truly wireless audio system.
The downside’s the $599 pricetag.
