Just a twinkle in a bloggers eye a few weeks ago when it was first reported on MP4Nation, the WiFi-enabled iRiver Smart HD (Nee K1) has been officially announced with slick new pics and tech specs, including capacity details.

The Smart HD comes in two storage size options – 8GB and 16GB (both with SDHC slots for extra expansion). In addition it comes in four editions, the most basic being a standard 8GB player and the most impressive being the DMB-WiFI edition which features both of them and the 16GB storage.
The 3.5 inch touchscreen player offers 18 hours of audio and 6 hours of video. It has an FM tuner, picture browser, recorder, Flash 3 support, address book, calendar and Outlook synch. It also opens PDF, XLS, PPT and TXT files, measures 108 x 62.1 x 12.7 mm and weighs 120 grams.
