Cowon W2 MID Edges Toward Release
It’s been milling around in rumour since October but CES has brought the Cowon W2 UMPC/MID out of the woodwork.
It has a 4.8 inch screen that runs at 1024 x 600 and runs on a 1.33GHz Intel Atom CPU.
Its chip isn’t specified but initial thoughts lean toward the possibility of the Z520 (Silverthorne).
Also onboard is WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, USB, Mini-USB and ethernet ports, monitor output and composite and component video output.
It’ll run Windows 7 and has a rumoured 10 hour battery life which would be very sweet indeed. As price and dates are still tbc we’ll be waiting a little longer for the W2.
