Atom Based Tainell T500 MID’s Swish New Keyboard & Upgrade
The virtual keyboard on the Tainell is pictured above and as you can see, has taken on a new decidedly circular style. If it manages to be functional this could be another selling point to the already hot looking MID.
When it was announced back in September it ran on a 1.1GHz Intel Atom Z510 processor. This has since been upgraded to 1.33GHz or 1.6GHz variants and the OS has been knocked up to Windows 7 or Moblin options.
Optional upgrades also include the 0.3MP webcam ramping up to 1.3MP, 1GB RAM to 2GB and upping the 32GB SSD to 64GB.
The screen’s a 5 inch WSVGA touchscreen and it comes with GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G.
Prices and dates are still, however, ellusive.
