After endless speculation here it is - the Apple iPad. After the countless renders, guesses and questions it seems a bit of an anti-climax to see it finally - the best even Steve Jobs can offer is, “it just works.” Inspiring words there, Steve.
Anyway - the lowdown. It does indeed look like a big iPod (no surprise there), it’s .5 inches thick, weighs 1.5 pounds and has a 9l7 inch IPS display with full capacitive multitouch.
The guts are Apple’s own 1GHz Apple A4 chip and storage options are 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
IT also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, accelerometer (for all that running you’ll be doing with it?), compass, speaker, mic and 10 hours of battery life.
