SMIT MID-560 – Possible RK2808 Android based MID
Another new MID thats coming out of China and running on Android has made its first video appearance, the SMIT MID-560 looks like a nice device, with a 5.0″ touch screen supporting a 800×480 resolution. The UI does look a little laggy, but to be fair the SMIT guys do point out that the device is an early prototype and is still under development.
On an interesting note the SMIT guys do hint that a recent video of a MID showing off Android was theirs also, i am pretty sure they are refering to the RK2808 MID player we saw earlier in August. Also when comparing the devices in their respective video reviews you can see that Android performs almost exactly the same on the two devices, so its probably a good guess that the SMIT MID-560 is running on the Rockchip RK2808 chipset.
