With 2009 seeing good quality 3D films hitting the big screen (broadening depth and aesthetics rather than a virtual bombardment of objects at your face like the 3D films of old) and 2010 being the year of Sony’s 3D TV and PS3 gaming, what  are the chances of having a 3D PMP?

As 3D film is becoming a medium of its own it will only be a matter of time before it makes it into your pocket and Blue Morning are the ones pushing to break through with that leap.

The big screen and TV technology is still only really starting out so transferring it to PMPs is likely to be very hit and miss but a start is being made. There is also talk of a 3D Rockchip and a potential chip from Sunplus, adding legitimacy to the claim that 3D could take off on the PMP.
Don’t hold your breath though, Blue Morning are predicting a tentative release date of 2012.
