Well the brand new Beta Brainwavz are nearly ready for mass roll-out, so for those wondering what its all about or if these low cost, high quality IEM`s are for you should check out some early reviews.

We have now got to very thorough and well written reviews of the Beta brainwavz from two very respected websites, www.headfi.org and www.anythingbutipod.com

HeadFi Review

Many thanks to ClieOS from headfi who has done a great review of the Betas and came to this final conclusion.

“beta is an major upgrade from the alpha, both on build and sound quality wise. People with tight budget will not be disappointed by the beta, especially consider it high performance / price ratio. It is one of those IEM that are fully capable on taking down many other that have double or even triple the price tag. Those who are looking for the best bang for the bucks should put this one high on your list of consideration.”

ABI Review

Martin Sägmüller from anythingbutipod (ABI) has also given the Betas a good going over with a great review and some really well taken photos too. This is a good, well written article and proves that the Betas price/performace just cant be ignored, no matter how hard you try

“Pros: Nice, rather realistic sound reproduction for the price range, Decent soundstage, Acceptable construction for a Chinese designed IEM (so far)

Cons: Somewhat veiled/nasal/hollow sounding midrange, a bit recessed treble (but hey, it’s a $30 IEM we’re talking about, and it still sounds fine for the price), Awkward, useless 45° angled plug, Less than optimal selection of silicon tips (redundant conical tips, not enough different sizes)”
