New mics aren't scarce but few are quite as interesting looking as Logitec’s LIC-WMREC03P (for Sony Walkmans) and LIC-iREC03P (for iPods).
The speaker crossing is apparently the XY technique of placing two mics together pointing in different directions, giving excellent field separation while eliminating phase problems.
The speakers have a frequency response of 20Hz to 16kHz, 3.5mm and USB inputs and a pair of wind socks for al fresco recording. They will be out in Japan in January and will cost about $84.

Not an Spectrum ZX game, just news that Creative have shed more light on their Zii Egg development platform. The PMP is geared toward developers building applications and entire user experiences out of the Zii Egg chips cell hardware that goes alongside Android and their own Linux based OS dubbed Plaszma.
It looks to follow the phone-like natures of other PMPs but should the combination of Zii Egg and Android be a winner it could spell a more interesting PMP from Creative.

RAmos this week announced that they were releasing an alternative version of the T11 model, the current version runs TI Davinchi chip, which we believe is the reason why the T11 is so expensive, well on Monday they announced the T11 with the Rockchip RK2806 media processor and today we have our first video peek.
What we can take from this first peek is that the touch screen seems to be quite sensitive, there also seems to be kinetic scrolling and even cover art music browsing, certainly on e of the more impressive UI we have seen on a RAmos player to date. Video playback looks very good, this version of the T11 will also have the 800 x 480 resolution screen. It also looks like that it will be able to support TV out at 720p.
One last thing to note, at the end where the reviewer show
Our good friend Louisnomad over on our forums has done a short review of the Fiio M-Dock (now called Fiio S9) and the Fiio Walkbox, quite a good short review of how the two differ, but retain the same good audio quality that we have become accustomed to from Fiio made speakers.
