The people over at UMPC Portal got their hands on a brand spanking new SmartQ Q7 and done a nice unboxing review of it. The first thing that surprised us was the English OS, which has been lacking on the Q5, we were expecting it to have the same default Chinese language OS that the Q5 had.
The video does show off the compact and the seemingly ligh weight of the device, but it does look plasticy and the viewing stand that is attached to the back of it looks quite flimsy. As expected the Q7 performs much like the Q5, a bit sluggish with still bugs to be worked out, however i myself like the slim and light body design, just not a fan of the plasticy material.
We are confirming right now the stock availability of the Q7 and if they will all have English OS, if so then expect it to be on sale soon at MP4 Nation (roughly about USD$215 - $230 with shipping).
