Newman aren’t strangers for making their own players resemble other branded players look, in the past they haven’t even limited their cloning to Apple products, but even Creative and Meizu products, but now Newman is back with another iPod clone, this time a iPod Nano 4th gen clone. To be honest, the A1 actually looks really nice, be a blatant copy of the iPod design, it really does look sleek and fashionable, tied with Newmans good production quality, this player will probably just look as sleek and nice in the real as it does in these renderings.

Newman also states a new type of Smart Touch UI, not entirely sure what this means, but from the above image it does look like some sort of cover flow system, which i find doubtful, Newman is good for their product manuafcturing, but when it comes to original, nice looking UI’s, Newman ranks pretty low.

The second picture makes the player look as if the 2.0″ screen of the A1 is touch screen, but its not, the player does have a heat sensitive strip located above the round button and below the screen. The player also uses the RockChip RK2705 medi chip, capable of playing multiple video files at high resolution along with multiple audio files including Flac and OGG. It will be out in China by the end of January and be available in pink and blue.

That looks a lot more like the 3rd gen “fatty” nano than the current 4th gen, which has the screen turned sideways.
