Onda is coming out with yet another player using the new 'HD' CC1600 media processor from ChinaChips. This player, unlike their VX535HD, will have a 5.0", 800x480 high resolution screen and a wireless remote. Onda is also advertising that the player will come with upto 32GB of internal memory, if true this would be the first China MP4 player to come with such a large amount of internal memory. I do hope they actually do produce these in 32GB, with the awesome quality of the screen and impressive capabilty of the CC1600 processor to handle videos that are in 1280x780 resolution people are going to need the additional memory space for all their large video files. Expect the 16GB to be sold for under USD$150 and 32GB under $200.

Just prior to Chinese New Year Onda sent us over a sample unit of their new Onda VX535HD, their first player using the new China Chip CC1600 'HD' chip, using a 4.3" TFT screen capable of 800x480 resolution. Overall the player is no different from that of other players using the same chipset, the screen quality is excellent and the chips video playback performance is very good. However unlike other similar players the VX535HD does not come with a wireless remote, not too much of a biggy, but it is a nice feature to have on this player that does have very good video out quality.
One other thing this player does share in common with other similar players using the CC1600 chip is the rather poor user interface. Overall the UI is not much different from players that ran on the JZ47xx chipset
The latest variant of the VX767 player from Onda, this player now uses the RK2706 chipset and also has a built in FM transmitter. The player is similar to that of the original VX767, except this player has a bit more flashy UI.
The Onda VX767L 16GB is on sale at MP4 Nation for just $104.50 - get one today
You know you all have been waiting for this, the Nationite OS-43 in her new custom theme, thanks to Maderin1 for making this impressive and professional looking theme.
The yellow version of the theme is what will be found in all future production run OS-43 models that are made starting in February, those buying now will simply need to download this theme and load it onto your player - don't worry its very easy. There are also two other variants of this theme, a blue and a red variant, both also will be available for download also.

The Walletx MP3 player is about the size of a credit card but can carry 8GB of internal memory and still has space for an expandable memory slot. The MP4 player only weighs about 20g and has a play time of 5hrs, ok so its not like an Onda VX898 with 40+ hrs of playback, but with 8GB and expandable memory slot and for $40, its not a bad deal. Although i don't think i would be a huge fan of 8GB worth of music and shuffle being the only mode you can play them in.

I know this was posted a little while back on our forums, but i forgot to make a mention on the blog. The last few days i have had the previlage of trying Maderin1 new custom Nationite theme for the new OS-43 player, it looks great, a far cry from the default one. Take a look at the video and don't worry, its ok to drool (a little). Expect the final version of this theme to be out soon and all new production run OS-43 after Febuary will carry this theme preinstalled. Don't worry if you alreay bought and have the OS-43, updating to the new theme is dead simple, just check our forums for an announcement of the release.
Only in China could you find a company knocking off an opensource OS for their own fake version. Welcome the SciPhone Dream G2, a phone we are sure is going to cause a lot of buyers remorse. We had all been made to think the G2 was infact the first phone out of China to run on Googles Android OS, but i guess we somehow choose to forget this was being made by the company that makes one of the most popular iPhone clones, the SciPhone i68+. SciPhone didn't fail to disappoint, they are the first company to make a UI to knock off an opensource OS, unbelievable.
Those of you who have own China phones, like the CECT variety will see immediately the similarities of the phone in the above video to that of other China phones, although it does have a nicer UI, it has all the earmarks of the CECT U
As ever the new year in China brings new developments in processors, last year saw ingenics roll out new chips and rockchip threw out there current 27 series and also Actions released their (lost) 26 series
we now have new chips from ChinaChips, currently powering the new years releases of so-called HD players, Ingenics are releasing a new chip rumored to be powering Onda`s new player and rockchip to, with an apparently re-jigged 2706 processor, called the 2706B
The new player from Chinese manufacturer Chuwi, called the M60, is a 4" screen player and seems to be the first player to utilise the new, re-vamped RK2706B
So what does this new processor version do, well the repost is that it improves video performance, noted especially was RMVB but others are reported as improved to
Newman aren't strangers for making their own players resemble other branded players look, in the past they haven't even limited their cloning to Apple products, but even Creative and Meizu products, but now Newman is back with another iPod clone, this time a iPod Nano 4th gen clone. To be honest, the A1 actually looks really nice, be a blatant copy of the iPod design, it really does look sleek and fashionable, tied with Newmans good production quality, this player will probably just look as sleek and nice in the real as it does in these renderings.
Newman also states a new type of Smart Touch UI, not entirely sure what this means, but from the above image it does look like some sort of cover flow system, which i find doubtful, Newman is good for their product manuafcturing, but when
Brycewi has struck again with yet another unboxing of the latest Nationite OS-43, watch him as he falls in love with his new player ;)
