It didn't take long after the release of the Ainol V3000HD for both Gemei and RAmos to announce their new HD players. The two will be releasing what look to be very similar (both internal hardware and external looks) players. The RAmos T9 (pictured above) and the Gemei X690HD (pictured below) will have screens capable of a display resolution of 800 x 480, much like the V3000HD. Its fair to assume that Gemei will be using the Ingenic Chinachips 720p chip, just like the V3000HD. What isn't clear is what chip the T9 will be using, i assume it will also be using the same chip as the V3000HD and the X690HD, but RAmos does have a preference for using Rockchip and their player state to have a new 24bit dual core chip that hasn't been previously used, so maybe the T9 maybe using the new RK28xx
Teclast drops yet another new player, but this one fails to impress me, its pretty much a revised version of their M31, but with a landscape UI layout and with a simple QVGA screen. There is little doubt that this won't be using the RK2706 chip and therefore will be able to play a multitude of video and audio file formats at high resolution. No word on pricing or availability, but don't be suprised if it outs nefore the years end.
I just wanted to start this post with that above picture, to some it may not seem like much, to others, they will understand why i choose that picture, take for a moment a look at the image on the screen of the player and remember that image was take of a video (not paused) at about a +45 angle and even on the still photo you can make out the clarity of the screen. That image really, to me, shouts how good the screen quality is on Hachcas (com back kid) PC90.
Hacha has for the most part of this last year been missing from our line up and news on their new players has been far and few in between and to be honest the stuff they had been releasing was not only not interesting, but looked like a bad joke sometimes. Now they have redeemed themselves with the PC90, it really is a very nice pl
A guy over at CNMO, a Chinese tech site, has gone and taken apart his new Meizu M8, yes i know there are many Meizu fanboys crying their eyes out at seeing this butchering, but it does help to demonstrate the hi quality build of the M8 itself. Anyone that has taken apart one of those CECT phones will know that most China mobile phones, although are built well, look no way as clean or professionally built as the M8 does. Just one thing to point out, that the images don't highlight is the wolfson audio chip visable when they are showing the samsung nand chip.

So they are in, Fiio sent out the first 200 units of the E5 to us on Wednesday and when i say first 200 units, i really do mean first 200, number 1 will remain with us here at MP4 Nation.
There really very little difference between the production version of the E5 and the sample that i got earlier, the most notable was that they gave a better and shorter cable.
It can't be said that Fiio doesn't listen to the feedback they get, they did also change the main power light from red to blue, making it easier to see if the unit is on or off.
Now i am not sure if this was a change between the samples or something to do with production of the sample, but the top and bottom white was a bit off white color, as opposed to the white which is in the production version which is a more ivory w
JXD, who has been producing some of the fugliest player to come out of China as of late, actually comes out punching with their JXD 980, it does sport a nice 4,3" screen, certainly not a touch screen with all those buttons around it, but that's not the important thing here.
What really gives this baby its kick is the Sunplus 8000 chipset at its core. which is a combination of a ARM926, DSP and 3D graphics accelerator all in one. The chip can playback, at a full 30fps, videos in upto 1280x720 resolution, you may really possible never need to convert your videos on this player. The high speed DDR cache allows for better transfer rates between the NAND flash and the SP8000 chip, so it won't be bogged down with the same problem of the data transfer slowing video playback on RK2706 and JZ47x
