Just got this passed to us, Onda will be having a new player called the VX626, it is unlike other players that have CMMB/DVB-T (digital tv), it does not have a large screen, in fact its only for a 2.8″ screen, the player itself has a bit of a thick form factor and the overall white color is break from the norm of using black for Onda players. The reason why they are going with a smaller player is to cut the cost and make it more affordable to more people.

The player has a push button navigation, will run on the Rockchip RK2706 chip set and i am not sure when a version of the VX626 would be out with a compatiable digital reciver to be used outisde of China. The player will also have all the standard RK2706 features such as hi-res video playback, multiple audio file support, FM radio and ebook reader.

No date yet for release or price info, but most likely will around the first week of December in China with CMMB enabled tuner.
