Newman is coming out with what looks to be quite a stylish MP4 player (actually they are calling it an MP5 Player). The players design is similar to that of some others on the market, but the UI, at least in this mock image, looks much nicer than others.
The player will be about 8.2mm thick, making it quite slim and by the looks of it, the player will be sporting a nice metallic back. The A2 will run on the Rockchip RK2706 chipset, so it will allow for the standard hi res video playback, multiple audio and video format support. It will also have a 3.0" TFT screen and TV out, a feature that has pretty much become standard on most new MP4 Players, however it doesn't seem to have a built in FM transmitter. There is no indication on actual release date, but most likely it will be soon a
Forum member SeaSprite has come out with another wonderful theme, this time emulating the pretty theme of the RAmos T8. This is a far cry from the bleaker default theme that comes with the Onda VX787 normally. Jump on over to our forums and check out more images and to download it.

...well maybe we won't buy it, but i am sure some people may see this as a potential new mp4 player for themselves.
The PC90, Hachas first new player in awhile and first decent looking one in even longer, has a 4.0" screen and capable of displaying 16million colors, this is a bit different than most of the new 4.3" players that are currently being churned out in mass by Chinese makers. Hacha defends their choice of a smaller screen by saying that it is the right size for a large compact screen and anything larger is not convenient. I guess some people would agree to that statement.
Some other notable features are its overall slim design, large 1500mAh battery and what seems to be an independent audio chip. As for what main chip it will be running on, it could be a Rockchip RK2706 f
Today i went down to the Autumn HKTDC Electronic convention show, i was informed by Fiio that they would also be attending and showing off their new E5 portable headphone amp, so i took some time to visit their booth and check out their new successor to their popular E3 headphone amp.

The above two images are taken from Fiios brochure after the convention, i was unable to snap a picture of the E5 that i was able to play with as photography is prohibited in such exhibition shows :(
Design:
Well, like probably many of you seeing the images, saw a stark similarity to the iPod Nano Shuffle, even the Fiio rep laughed at the similarities. Anyways, the overall design is quite nice, unlike the E3 which is has a plastic body, the E5 has a full metal body, b
We received a little while ago a sample of the Teclast M33, we received a white version, which we were surprised to get (as we though it would only come in black). The M33 has a simple resistive touch screen, there is nothing special about this touch screen, the navigation is simple and straight forward and nothing as smooth and nice as the S:Flos. However the actual screen of the player rocks, it utilizes the new MVA screen technology, which is either made by Toshiba or Fujitsu (no one knew 100% who made it).
Anyways checkout the rest of the images, just to note on some angle shots where the screen looks blurry, its because i couldn’t get my camera to focus correctly, but what you should take from the image is that the image on the screen is still viewable even from that extrem
Sometimes it seems the only way to find out the accurate hardware info of a MP4 player is to crack it open, thankfully this SmartQ Tao player was opened by a far more skillful individual than myself. Imp3.net has some interesting pictures of the inards of this new MP4 player. Just to note, the pictures do confirm a few things, firstly that it has no built in internal memory, it does have a wolfson audio chip and it does have one very large capacity battery.
I also want to note that many people are mistaking this for a touch screen player - it is not a touch screen player at all.

Many of you know that the Onda VX787 has some very funny english used for its UI, a poor translation can certainly undermine the quality of a product, thankfully SeaSprite from our forums had stepped up and provided a better English translation for the VX787.

So i just caught this little tid bit in a new press release Gemei released, looks like Gemei will be adding yet another gaming player, this time Gemei seems to have actually gone for a more traditional gaming machine design. There is little information about this player, but it is probably fair to assume that this player will be pretty much the same (internally) to that of the Gemei X760+. Expect this player to be running on an Ingenic JZ4740 (400mHz) chip, which will be capable of Gameboy Advanced emulation, 3D game emulation and other older console emulation like seag, NES and old aracde games.
Gemeis only hint at price is that it will be cheap, they actually make the comparison on how the price and functionality of this player are far better than a Sony PSP, well i have a hard ti
