Teclast has finally officially announced their Teclast T50+, a ‘newer’ version of their Teclast T50 (also known as Nationite S:Flo). If you have been frequenting our forums you will know that this isn’t much of new news and we have been dubbing this as the S:Flo Lite already. In fact, i’ve had a sample of this for almost two weeks now.
The player is the same as the T50, with wolfson audio chip, WQVGA screen, RK2706 chip, but it will not have a capactive touch screen, it will be using the same touch screen as the M26, the touch screen is now referred to as multi-point touch, which is basically a funky sort of resisitive touch screen. What does the change in touch screen mean, well it means no more fast scrolling.
There are two new features on the player, one will be TV Out, a now common feature on new players and it will have also a FM transmitter, now this is a suprise to me, i believe this is a new addon, the sample i recived did not have this. I assume that due to the growing popularity of built in FM transmitters, this has been newly added, which maybe why the announcement of the T50+ has taken longer.
Apart from the three main differences, the T50+ will behave just like the T50, so it too will have good audio and video playback, i don’t know when the T50+ will be out in China, but expect the Nationite S:Flo Lite to start shipping in the next 3 - 6 weeks time.
