Onda VX787 4.3″ Touch Screen Announced – First renderings
We had this emailed to us by the old Onda factory yesterday, its the first renderings of the Onda VX787, it will have a 4.3″ touch screen, TFT screen of 480×272 resolution and 16 million colors, NO WIFI (unlike previously thought), the touch screen is to be capacitive and we speculate will be running on the Ingenics (chinchips) JZ4742 chipset (400mHz MIPS Processor).
On a interesting note about the the above picture, it shows that there maybe a coverflow type of operation on this device, coverflow type devices have already started to pop up in CECT phones like the SciPhone, so its not improbable that a more powerful chipset like the JZ4742 and a bigger company like Onda would be capable to implement such a similar thing.
The player will be able to player higher res videos at 30fps in avi, flv, rm/rmvb, mp4 and other formats, aswell as being able to play mp3, wma, flac and ape. The player will also sport TV Out capabilities. Expect this to be out by the end of August and the pricing will be around USD$120-140 for the 8GB version when it comes out, no confirmation if this player will come in 16GB or 32GB like the similar RAmos T8.

Yey, been waiting on this!!!
Wanted to buy a vx7*7 device for a few weeks as they have released some code and documents for linux, and rockbox is planning a port to the vx747 which is already looking promising.
Although the original firmware is nice for video+to-out and onda tends to release v1.1 quite soon after the product release.
Yey!!!
This is definitely on my shopping list
