The first real images of the previously unknown X780 have hit the internet. We have little information on this new player, simply because the automated translation of the source article is really bad, its hard to make out what the real specs of the player are - one thing the article does make clear, is that this will be able to play MP3 audio format…..yeah…….
Gemei seems to be sticking to their traditional type of design of imitating bricks. The player is hardly the most attractive thing we have seen and resembles a fatter version of the Onda VX757, but it will probably have some good specs, most likely it will have a RK27xx at its core, like most of Gemeis players currently have. This does mean it will have impressive video playback along with quite good audio playback. The below picture also shows what look to be two headphone ports, most likely one is a headphone port and the other doubles as a headphone port and a Video out port. Now, from the first image, we assume some sort of gaming capability, but if this means GBA or other game emulation like Gemei X760+ or just you standard bad rippoff Tetris, we just don’t know.
Some other points of note, the bad translation does talk about a secondary audio chip, a UDA 1380 Philips chip. This player looks to be out by the end of the month in 4GB, no pricing given.
